Spanish for Beginners

Come learn from a native speaker!
This course will help students to develop a basic knowledge of the Spanish language sufficient to communicate in everyday situations. Different language skills will be involved such as: grammar, reading, writing, listening and oral.
COURSE GOALS:
By the end of the course, you will learn:
- How to greet people, making introductions and say good-bye.
- The Spanish alphabet and pronunciation: vowels and diphthongs.
- Gender and Number: Articles and Nouns.
- Verbs: Introduction, Conjugation, Personal Pronouns.
- Vocabulary (everyday life, vacation, real-life phrases).
Spanish Intermediate (Level 2) course
Instructor: Aline Carboney
This course is aimed at building student proficiency in all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Also offer insight into Spanish-speaking culture. The students will increase their fluency by classroom dialogues. They will enjoy readings that increase vocabulary and encourage deeper comprehension. Students will learn:
- To describe situations in the present, past and future tenses.
- Uses of SER and ESTAR.
- Adjectives and adverbs.
- Definite and indefinite articles.
- Comparatives and superlatives.
- Verbs: preterit, imperfect, future and progressive tenses.
- Vocabulary and real-life phrases.
And also…
- Movie night.
- Music and lyrics.
